The Site
Our flying site is situated in the middle of the island of Malta, as indicated on the map by a black circle.
The site is actually the northern end of a disused runway, which saw active service during World War II. At the MMAFA site, there is a club house, car parking, model preparation pits, taxiways and the main runway.
The site runway is about 650 feet long and 300 feet wide and is oriented in a NW/SE direction which is the line of the majority of the prevailing wind on the island. It is tarmacked and closed off for exclusive use of the Association.
How to get there
